2 Months Old!!

Brooke is 2 months old today!! She has grown and changed so much, and has brought more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined!

This past weekend, we took a quick family getaway to San Antonio, bringing Uncle Drew along for the trip, to celebrate his 27th birthday. Brooke did great, away from home for the 1st night ever! She visited the Alamo, walked the Riverwalk, and was along for some legendary eating adventures...Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Drew ate pizza at Big Lou's--home of the BIGGEST PIZZA IN TEXAS, and LuLu's Bakery & Cafe, home of the BIGGEST CINNAMON ROLL IN THE WORLD! Both were featured on the food network recently, and being the 100% Texans that they are, the 3 had to give these places a try!

Life is good. I will post again after Brooke's 2 month check up. It's hard to believe she is almost 2 months old. Every moment of these past weeks has been UNbelieveable! We LOVE being parents!!

Brooke's Baptism Day!

Brooke was baptized into the Lord's holy family, at Trinity Lutheran Church, on Sunday August 9th. Pastor Jeff Patterson did the honors, and lots of family and friends were in attendance. Godparents are: Aunt Megan and Uncle Walt Kieschnick, Uncle Drew Wied, and Uncle Tim Kmoch. After church, we gathered at our neighborhood rec center for fellowship, BBQ, and cake! What a blessing the big day was!!!

Big news for Mommy!

I found out today that I will officially be an adjunct professor of English at Lone Star College, this fall! I am really nervous, and would appreciate your prayers, as I embark upon this new journey. The biggest benefit of this situation, is that I will be bringing in some extra $$$, but only be away from Brooke for a few hours a day on MWF! I am very excited at the doors this may open in the future. Please keep our family in your prayers as we make the transition, at the end of the month!
