Brooke's Baptism Day!

Brooke was baptized into the Lord's holy family, at Trinity Lutheran Church, on Sunday August 9th. Pastor Jeff Patterson did the honors, and lots of family and friends were in attendance. Godparents are: Aunt Megan and Uncle Walt Kieschnick, Uncle Drew Wied, and Uncle Tim Kmoch. After church, we gathered at our neighborhood rec center for fellowship, BBQ, and cake! What a blessing the big day was!!!

Big news for Mommy!

I found out today that I will officially be an adjunct professor of English at Lone Star College, this fall! I am really nervous, and would appreciate your prayers, as I embark upon this new journey. The biggest benefit of this situation, is that I will be bringing in some extra $$$, but only be away from Brooke for a few hours a day on MWF! I am very excited at the doors this may open in the future. Please keep our family in your prayers as we make the transition, at the end of the month!

Brooke at 3 Weeks!

Three week birthday pics courtesy of Mommy! She didn't exactly LOVE this...but she looks SOOOOOOOOO darn cute! We are just days away from her 1 month birthday! I cannot believe how fast it went by...

Check up News:

Brooke went in for her 2 week check up this week...

She weighed 9 pounds and 8 ounces, and was 21 and 1/8 inches. I cannot believe how much she has grown! The doctor was very impressed by her weight gain, saying most babies have only regained their birth weight at this point!

The doc was also very impressed by how alert, active and strong Brooke is (for her age, she seems a little ahead of the game)...she said Brooke is incredibly healthy and I should be proud (of course I am!!).

Anniversary celebration...

We celebrated 2 years of marriage on July 7th! We got dressed up, and went out to dinner at Bertani Ranch Steakhouse...it was GREAT! The live music was an added bonus along with the FREE celebratory Creme Brulee. Brooke was pretty good during dinner, but got a little fussy when the food came--Go figure. Good thing Mommy is pretty good at eating with one hand!
We are so happy that God has blessed us so completely during our two years of marriage. We look forward to many years to come!

More pics...and a quick update...

Brooke is 10 days old today, and celebrated her 1st 4th of July, yesterday. So far, being home has been great! Brooke is a great sleeper and eater, and has had LOTS of visitors. We love to have people stop in to see her, so drop in, any time! We will go back to the doctor next week, so we will update then! Enjoy the pics!
