Lots to Love...

Brooke's 1st Valentine's Day was a very special day. We went to church, spent family time, and had an amazing dinner together. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we especially enjoyed a walk, and swinging in the back yard.

We had dinner at our church, which was transformed into a romantic Italian restaurant, by the Trinity youth. Brooke really enjoyed the breadsticks, while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a 3 course Italian meal. Brooke's Valentine's outfit was custom-made by Mommy, especially for the occasion. We hope you all had a wonderful day, as well.

Brooke is a speedy crawler these days...maybe it's the leopard outfit, maybe it's just in her genes, but I am AMAZED at how quick she can get into things. She requires a constant watchful eye...

At 7 months and a few weeks, Brooke is anxious to start walking. She LOVES pulling up on EVERYTHING, and has even begun letting go! She is able to stand for about 2 seconds at a time, and she CANNOT get enough!! I am daily astounded at all of her amazing milestones...my parenting books, magazines, and newsletters say at this age, she should JUST NOW be getting to the crawling stage! In fact, pulling up at this age puts her in an "advanced skills" category, according to the BabyCenter Medical Advisory Board. I guess she is just an over-achiever! Of course, we are SO proud of her!

Cousin Lilly came to play and we had a dress up day! Here are the pics of the two cute little fairies...

7 months old!

Our darling girl is 7 months old. Time certainly does fly! I am enjoying the excitement and love that she brings to our lives. It is amazing how she seems to make EVERYTHING better! I am so glad that I am fortunate enough to be home with her as much as I am, because I know I could never get these precious moments back.

Sunny days...

We've enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather we've been having in Texas lately, and have taken some great walks. Brooke now has 2 teeth, is a crawling machine, & absolutely LOVES pulling herself up into a standing position, on anything she can find. Favorite toys include Mommy's pretty picture frames, the remote, magazines, Daddy's cell phone, and the X-box joystick...so much for all of the fun toys she got for Christmas!

6 Month Pics

These are a few of the 6 month pictures that I recently took of Brooke. She is growing so big, and learning so much...every day brings more joy and new surprises.

The new year is off to a great start. I will start back up at Lonestar College, teaching English, on the 20th. This semester, I will only be teaching on Monday and Wednesday nights. Our "blessing-of-a-babysitter" Sarah, will be back to help us out, and Brad and Brooke will have their "special Daddy-Daughter time" again. I am anxious to get back to teaching, as a "seasoned" professor!

We enjoyed seeing EVERYONE over the holidays, and have made a resolution to spend more time with those that we love, in 2010. Please don't hesitate to stop in, if you are in the area!

New Year, New Milestones!

It's a whole new year, and we cannot wait to see Brooke reaching new milestones.

She is really enjoying her experiences with table food, and so far, she likes everything! Sweet potatoes were new this week...if you look closely, you may be able to see her new tooth (bottom left).

These pics are from New Year's Eve...we were watching fireworks. Brooke barely blinked! I think she really enjoyed it!

Brooke's 1st Christmas!

We had a VERY blessed 1st Christmas with our beautiful daughter. We woke up and opened presents, got dressed and went to church, had a nice family breakfast, and then spent a great day having family time...just the 3 of us. It was a wonderful day.

God has blessed us SO much this past year, and we look forward to a new year of blessings, special moments, challenges, surprises, and God's unchanging grace and love. To all of the special people in our lives, both far and near, God bless! Have a wonderful 2010! We hope to see you soon...
