These are pictures from Brooke's "Pretty Pink Princess Party" on June 26th. It was the perfect day! God blessed us with beautiful sunshine, plenty to eat and drink, and LOTS of friends and family members to share in the fun! It will always be a beautiful memory. I cannot believe we have been the proud parents of our angel for a whole year already! We have learned so much, and made so many special memories. Life has changed in every way--for the better! Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate...we love you all!

Date Night

Brad and I had a date night last weekend, when GeeMa came to town. We double dated with Johnny and Natalie Tomas. We had dinner at the Downtown Aquarium, and then took the Shark Attack, and Wildlife tours. Here are a few silly pics from the evening...

Cousin Lilly had her 2nd bday party at Chuck E Cheese, in Katy. We stopped to take a few pics, at Katy Heritage Park, on the way. It is an absolutely beautiful park, and Brooke enjoyed the scenery...

Swim days...

Brooke has been having a BALL lately, playing in her new pool. She really loves the water! I really have to keep an eye on her because she doesn't have any problem putting her head under water! No worries...she always comes up laughing. We have ventured to the neighborhood pool a few times as well. Brooke loves to kick her legs in her new floatie, and watch all of the bigger kids playing in the water. She gets so excited when the other kids talk to her, and she shows off her waving skills, to say "hi" and "bye bye." She is SO cute in the water!

sneaky...

On Tuesday, I left my precious little darling in the den, happily playing with her turtle drum, while I went into the laundry room (a mere 8 steps away) to unload and reload the washer. Upon finishing, I returned to the den, but Brooke was not in sight. The house was quiet (which is never a good sign), and as I rounded the corner, heading into the entry room, this is what I found...

Apparently, she found her snacks, in the diaper bag, and thought she'd have a few. She had emptied both snack containers onto the floor, and was happily munching away. She was SO proud of herself, too! I had no choice but to laugh...and snap a few pictures!

The 1st picture is me, with Brooke, at 4 months. The second picture is my mom, holding me, as a baby, also at 4 months. Contrary to popular belief...our little darling looks an awful lot like her mommy!
